Robinhood, the permanently tainted brokerage that holds all of our loses. The company that revolutionized zero fee trading and easy options access to college degens in a colorful manner. What could this brilliant company be up to next?
If you’re a true degen you would’ve noticed that Robinhood added futures to “trade”(bet) on who will win this election. I live in a state that doesn’t allow gambling, nor am I 21 years old. But I can “trade” futures on the election. What is stopping them from extending there new “Robinhood Derivatives” sector into sports betting. I think this is a subtle hint at what is to come.
Now what are the numbers looking like? Well I don’t know nor do I care. All of my buddies gamble and I know gambling is a lucrative business. Every damn college student has this shitty app and now they can bet on if the lakers will dunk 30 balls in a hole. Look run the numbers yourself, Robinhood cracked the gambling market for many states that can’t gamble and now many students who aren’t old enough to gamble. They are down 16% today and they will report insane earnings when this rolls out. I typed this in my bed right before an exam so talk all your shit about my shitty dd idgaf.
TLDR: Robinhood will crack into gambling sector and open a new stream of revenue.
What is my position? I’ll open some LEAP’s this week and I plan on buying 1500 shares. Might wait until the price settles after.
