Looking at VIIIX and VITSX specifically.
It looks like the next dividend ex-dates for these funds is in late March. If I wanted to rebalance my investments, and if I was strictly ignoring all other market variables, I should wait until after that date to collect the dividends, right?
As a follow-up thought experiment, why should I not move money from more stable investments into these funds just before the ex-date, collect the dividends, then move it back to stable investments for the rest of the quarter?
