Uber has a solid AV plan. While some point out that although AV tech needs humans now, that may not always be true and, if there are only one or two providers, they may cut Uber out ... eventually. But few have noticed that Uber's stake in Aurora gives them a Plan B. As long as Uber stays close to the AV tech, they'll know when they need to pay Aurora to pivot to robotaxis; which they would do gladly and competently. As long as Uber has access to AV tech--whoever the provider--Uber wins most of the pie.
