Venture Global Liquefied Natural Gas plant announced paying dividends to shareholders

Hello everyone I'm pretty new to stocks and trading and wanted to get some advice. I'm actually working here at this LNG plant in Cameron, LA and we just finished replacing the harps inside all 5 boilers. Recently, VG released shares to the stock market and I've been buying some every week despite the price dropping from $25 to $14 a share. I believe it will go up in the future with the U.S. pushing to be the worlds largest LNG exporter. Theres also another VG plant that's being constructed in Plaquemine, LA. The plant that I'm working at here in Cameron is also getting ready to do an expansion with underground work being done as we speak. VG also announced that they will be going commercial in April. Today, they announced that they will be paying dividends to shareholders. I'm guessing that's the reason for the price to jump during lunch time. Am I doing the right thing by investing in the company or is it too risky? Thanks in advance everyone!
