Is anyone covering FICO - looking for thoughtful agreements/disagreements
I post here to get my thesis stress tested... for that one comment that finds the hole I missed, not for upvotes. I've written several dds here over the years and the good threads have been helpful identifying and working on biases or surfacing weaknesses in thesis
The FICO one I posted recently was the worst discussion I've had in this sub. That's why I am making another post and framed it specifically for people who cover the name as a sort of filter
Last post mostly got reaction to the ticker instead of engagement with the argument. (Link below judge for yourself)
That's another pattern I've noticed: firms with heavily negative sentiment get buried in downvotes here. Which is backwards, because that's exactly where one should be looking & not the names consensus already agrees are "value" whatever tath means in this sub. The hated "obviously broken" ones are where the mispricing lives. Downvote is supposed to mean low quality not "I disagree."
I saw an uptick on lower quality comments/posts in the sub in last 3-4 years. More reaction, less argument
Not asking anyone to agree (not just with me but in general). If you engage with posts, engage with the thesis tell people where it's wrong. That's the whole point of posting in public
