For those sitting on cash waiting for the next correction/AI bubble pop, how long have you been waiting?

I’m curious how long people have actually been sitting in cash waiting for the market to drop.
Was it worth it so far?

What if there’s no major correction for another 2–5 years and you miss out on years of gains??

What are you doing with your cash in the meantime to at least offset inflation (HYSA, money markets, T-bills, CDs, etc)?

And at what point do you decide the risk of missing continued gains is greater than the risk of investing before a correction?

Would love to hear from people who have been waiting months, years, etc. not just recently moved to cash.
