Is it time to start embracing the demand destruction of diesel and start betting on alternative fuels? My favorite is Opal Fuels (CNG/RNG)

I’m over this diesel crisis and ready for the market to look towards potential alternatives and look away from the same expensive, old, vulnerable, polluted, diesel.

The CNG/RNG infrastructure is mature. The technology is proven. It’s domestic, clean, plentiful, and way cheaper than diesel. A lot of large carriers already have CNG fleets, not to mention the timely release of the X15N, Cummins 15-liter natural gas engine… adoption seems to be promising.

I’m out on the near term prospects of electrifying class 8 trucking. The infrastructure is way under built, charging takes forever, and current battery power sucks for heavy duty trucking. Break away from the headlines for a minute and Elon’s bs, electrification will be great in 10 years.
