✅CVRX — Tight float, and J&J looks like the most logical buyer

Start with the float (freely tradable shares): Johnson & Johnson holds roughly 15.4% of CVRx, and activist investor Jorey Chernett (Pointillist Family Office) holds another 5.5%. That's close to 21% of the company locked up between just two holders — a meaningful chunk of shares effectively off the table for day-to-day trading. On a stock with this small a market cap, that tight float can amplify moves sharply in either direction on relatively low volume, and it concentrates real influence over the company's future in very few hands.
Now look at who's holding that float. J&J isn't a passive index fund parking money here — it's been involved with CVRx since 2008, led the Series G funding round in 2016, and still holds its position nearly two decades later. That's deep, sustained conviction in the technology, not a typical institutional stake. J&J also owns Biosense Webster, its cardiac electrophysiology franchise, which gives it a logical therapeutic-area fit for Barostim's neuromodulation technology.
Layer in the activist pressure: Chernett has publicly pushed the board to launch a formal sale process. Combined, J&J and Chernett control enough of the float to meaningfully shape the outcome of any strategic decision the board makes.
Put it together — an 18-year strategic relationship holding the largest stake, an activist pushing for a sale, and a float too tight for either of them to quietly walk away unnoticed. If one company ends up making a move for CVRx, J&J is the name at the top of the list.
