Let me preface by saying i'm not a die hard trader. I dont think of it as gambling at all or treat it as such. I want to know some success stories similar to mine. I dont watch trends or watch charts daily. I check the daily loss leaders on robin hood and if a good company goes down 30% for a CEO losing his job I buy. It is 100% intuition and takes a lot of being able to just hold money in account or riding out the rest of the dip. Does anyone else successfully trade this way safely? My examples are Bootbarn firing the CEO a few years ago and going down 30%. Brick and mortar is dying out but Boot barn is a must for the country dressing folk. The only brick and mortar i can think of other than eyeglass stores that you have to go in to try the product prior to buying. 2nd example is Crowdstrike when they released an update that crashed the flight transportation system in a massive way. For this example when they fucked up it just showed how used they are and critical to the infrastructure. I like this sort of trading, I feel like it relies solely on intuition on how profitable the company is. Do any of you have any good stories and/or tips for this sort of trading style? TLDR Investing in established companies that over crash on irrelevant news gaining a safe 15%.
