Boston Scientific peaked at $105 last November. It closed yesterday at $43.55
On 3 August the CEO, Mike Mahoney, bought 186,240 shares on the open market at about $48. That's roughly $9M of his own money. Three directors bought in the same few weeks.
These weren't plan trades or option exercises. Plain open-market purchases. People sell stock for a dozen reasons, but they generally buy it for one.
Worth saying they're already underwater. The stock is about 10% below where he paid.
What actually happened to BSX this year? I know the chart better than I know the story, and I'd rather hear it from someone who follows medtech
