$XRX: 5 things I’m watching

I’m tracking the Xerox thesis with five things now.
Rather than arguing endlessly about whether Xerox is “cheap,” I think the easiest way to follow the thesis is to watch a small set of things that actually matter.

**1. STARTEEPO ownership**
Current disclosed level:
**9.5M common shares / 7.23%**
If that keeps rising, that’s meaningful.
If it starts falling, that’s meaningful too.

**2. Xerox leverage**
The whole thesis gets easier if debt keeps coming down.If leverage stalls or starts rising again, that weakens the setup.

**3. XFS disclosure**
This may be the biggest near-term tell.
Does management begin breaking out:
\-Funding
\-Credit quality
\-Returns
\-Receivables
\-Strategy

If yes, that would suggest at least part of the Board proposal is being taken seriously.

**4. Core revenue**
This is the ugly one.
Xerox can’t financially engineer its way out of permanent operating deterioration forever.
I want to see the core business stabilize enough that deleveraging actually matters.

**5. Strategic-review language**
The biggest step would be management publicly acknowledging that strategic alternatives for XFS are being evaluated.
That would move the story from shareholder proposal to actual corporate process.

Those are the five things I’m watching. If those five move in the right direction, the thesis strengthens.
If several move the wrong way, I’d have to rethink it.

That’s probably how I’ll keep updating this story from here.
