Say you have a 70/30 portfolio. If you think the market is over-priced right now and don’t think there’s too much upside left for the next year or so, sell a part of your stocks inside your IRA without triggering a tax event and then create a ladder of CSPs to buy them back at lower prices while collecting premium waiting for that to happen. This is similar to creating buy limit orders but hey, no harm in getting paid while waiting. Has anyone tried doing this? What’s the downside besides the fact that I’m being too conservative and losing the upside?
