I was completely fine losing my AMD shares until it almost happened

I've had 200 AMD shares for a while and started selling calls against them, usually 30 to 45 DTE around .20 delta and for the most part it was pretty uneventful. That changed when AMD started moving and one of my calls went ITM with a few weeks left, so I had Moon open one morning going through rolls, trying to find one that didn't feel like I was just kicking the problem further out. What annoyed me was realizing I didn't actually want the shares called away, even though I was completely fine with that strike when I sold the call. Ended up leaving it alone because none of the adjustments felt worth it and assignments started feeling very different once it could actually happen.
