I built an AI-assisted fundamental investing research framework - Sharing it free for anyone who wants to test or critique it

I’m an individual investor who is interested in both investing and AI. I’m not a portfolio manager, financial analyst, or the next Peter Lynch.

Over the last several months, I’ve been experimenting with using AI as a research partner—not to pick stocks for me, but to help me learn, organize evidence, challenge my assumptions, work through valuation, and keep track of whether an investment thesis is actually being supported by evidence.

What started as some prompts gradually turned into a much larger research framework.

The basic idea is that AI should help discipline the investing process rather than replace investor judgment. The framework tries to separate facts from assumptions, distinguish evidence from narrative, actively look for counterevidence, connect qualitative research to valuation, and keep track of what would actually prove a thesis wrong.

I cleaned up the generalizable parts and put together a free public version containing:

• a Read Me First explaining the philosophy and how to use it

• the Research Framework itself

• a Prompt Pack that people can copy into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.

There’s no product, newsletter, signup, affiliate link, or monetization. It’s just a Google Drive folder with the documents.

Public framework:

I’m sharing it partly because I think other individual investors might find pieces of it useful, but also because I’d genuinely like people to try to review / critique it.

If something is redundant, impractical, overly complicated, missing an important question, or encourages bad reasoning, I want to know. Feel free to take pieces, modify them, ignore parts, or build something better.

One principle that has emerged from building it is:

The framework should accumulate wisdom, not complexity.

So criticism is probably more useful to me than compliments.

Obviously not finacial advise and I make no claims that this will make you beat the market or gain alpha...im just a guy who's interested in learning stock / company analysis and AI.
