Vistra, Constellation and the New Nuclear Power Boom

In this video, I look at two major recent announcements involving Vistra and Constellation Energy.

Vistra is planning 433 MW of additional nuclear capacity alongside long-term agreements with Meta, while Constellation's new agreements with Google include 890 MW of additional nuclear generation from existing reactors.

Together, that's more than 1.3 GW of planned additional nuclear capacity.

We look at:

• Why nuclear uprates are suddenly becoming important
• The Vistra and Meta nuclear agreements
• Google's deal with Constellation
• Amazon and Microsoft's nuclear agreements
• Why PJM and data-centre demand matter
• What the $4.2B and $4.3B headline numbers actually mean
• The risks, timelines and what happens next

The bigger question is whether the AI and data-centre boom is creating an entirely new economic case for nuclear plants built decades ago.
