I have been analysing and researching companies that have room to grow, compound and ride many of the exciting futures of the world and Europe. I would like to quickly share those I have in mind and why (those are not analysis - and it is beside valuation questions).
I would be curious to have your pick of who you see as clearly leading their respective fields and profiting in the future: maybe it will be 2028, or 2038.
And who from those I listed you like the most and the least:
**Wärtsilä**: Global leader in marine engines, propulsion and energy-system technology, with a huge installed base across the shipping industry.
Tailwinds: maritime decarbonization, alternative fuels, energy storage and the growing need for flexible power generation as renewable energy expands.
*Did a DD (you can check my profile - wasn't too long ago)*
**Schneider Electric**: A global leader in electrification, energy management and industrial automation, providing infrastructure that keeps factories, buildings and data centres running. Tailwinds: electrification, grid investment, automation, energy efficiency and rapidly rising data-center power demand.
**Siemens AG**: Industrial technology leader spanning automation (as schneider), but specialising in industrial software and smart infrastructure. They are deeply embedded in factories and infrastructure, which gives them a strong moat, while industrial automation, digitalisation, AI-driven manufacturing and grid modernisation provide multiple long-term growth drivers.
**Prysmian**: Very focused on electrification. They are the world's largest cable maker. So a lot of structural tailwinds: Rising electricity demand, grid modernisation, renewable energy, data centers and transport electrification all require enormous amounts of new cabling.
**ABB ltd**: They are more focused on motion and industrial automation. They supply technologies that are increasingly essential as industry becomes more electric and automated. Its installed base and mission-critical products provide resilience, while electrification, energy efficiency, automation and industrial productivity offer attractive long-term tailwinds.
**Veralto**: A bit different, they collect highly specialised businesses focused on clean water, environmental monitoring, food safety and product integrity. Its products are regulatory and/or quality-critical, creating resilient recurring demand, but they also deal in water scarcity, environmental regulation, food safety and pharmaceutical traceability.
They spun off from Danaher.
Some outliers I think are very interesting; I'd love to have your opinion (not quite in the same league, but niche specialists);
**Munter Group AB**: A bit of an unknown outlier, but I find it interesting. They do climate control, providing precise humidity and temperature solutions for industries ranging from batteries and pharmaceuticals to food and data centres.
**Vaisala**: They are a 90-year-old Finnish measurement company, #1 in high-end humidity/dew-point/CO₂ instruments and weather observation systems.
I did my dd on Vaisala, Munters, Veralto, ABB, Prysmian, and Wärtsilä, so feel free to ask questions.
Would be great to have your opinion
(oh and why do I focused so much on European companies - beside the fact that I live in EU? I honestly don't know, and there are of course, US-based companies I like Idex, Heico or Caterpillar)
