I'm a swing and position trader looking to meet more people who share my interest in the markets. Not looking for signals, strategies, or money. That is one of the reasons I mostly lurk and don't post anything in here. No problem in looking for that, but that is not what I am looking for and hope that is reciprocated. Finally deciding to post just because I'm so passionate about this and would like to meet people who feel the same way.
I prefer entries on the 1W chart and am prepared to hold positions anywhere from a few weeks to well over a year if a position decides to run. If it really starts to run, I like adding. I heavily prefer layering into a position and starting off with my stop at -0.5% of account equity. If I get stopped out, don't care. But if the position moves and I can add, I've always felt like this gives me more breathing room. I don't trade a massive account, and am truly hoping to increase my account equity enough where I can start taking responsibly-risked positions with LEAPs. I like to describe my trading style as Paul Tudor Jones meets Peter Lynch. I am big on fundamental and macro analysis, but also realize the importance of extenuating circumstances surrounding an individual ticker, even if the books aren't exactly favorable. I run fundamental and technical screeners and obviously with 10Y and 30Y yields equities are getting clobbered right now, but always keeping my eye out for opportunities. I like seeing std devs for any type of data I'm looking at. Happy to share my research with people who are serious about trading and contributing.
