This is the first time SK is exporting their nuclear power plant to the US: Investment is for six Westinghouse AP1000 reactors and two South Korean APR1400 units. The Westinghouse units are also built by Korean nuclear contract manufacturers such as Doosan Enerbility.

South Korea plans to invest $120bn (€106bn) in building eight large-scale nuclear reactors in the US, including two based on its own APR1400 design and six using Westinghouse AP1000 technology.
The nuclear plans are part of comprehensive implementation plans announced on 1 October for three major energy initiatives in the US, advancing a $350bn investment package designed to secure exemptions for South Korea from US import tariffs.
Other plans include a $54bn liquefied natural gas project in Alaska and a 6 GW gas-fired facility in Encinal, Texas, that will supply electricity to co-located data centres.
