Consider this, you invest in NVDA, MRVL, or MU because their hardware is ESSENTIAL for the AI buildout. Hyperscalers can’t buy enough because of the need for compute. You buy stocks like Crowdstrike and Palo Alto because of the massive need for cybersecurity in the age of AI agents. Maybe you buy shares of Snowflake because of the data AI needs to process or you buy Cloudflare because they are the most dominant company in bringing AI cloud to the edge for lower latency.
However, all of these investments are made based on HUMAN SYSTEMS which are very INEFFICIENT. What happens to these investments when AI achieves SUPER INTELLIGENCE or simply ASI? Many top researchers in the field say it can happen any day now.
So what is my point? ASI will likely redesign everything to be far more efficient. All of these massive data centers, GPUs, HBMS, etc won’t be needed on the same scale as humans designed it. ASI will improve it all to operate as efficiently as possible meaning those companies will be selling far less hardware. As for cybersecurity companies? They will be overtaken by ASI meaning they will be totally worthless to humans. Cybersecurity for humans in the Age of ASI is like saying squirrels have security against humans. No, ASI by definition will be superior to humans. No cybersecurity company will be able to control it which means these investments to day mean nothing once ASI is here.
TLDR; Once Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) is achieved AI stock investments for humans become meaningless as we will now be dominated by something superior to us.
Here’s my question for yall: Are yall skeptical of this happening, meaning ASI actually happening, or do yall think it’s a 100% for sure certainty to happen. My personal view is it likely happens. The gains in AI stocks will be great up until the point ASI happens. Then, we are all FKED.
