I built a free stock evaluation toolkit on SEC filings (Burry's owners' earnings, DCF, reverse DCF). Public criticism already made it better.

I built a free stock evaluation toolkit that reads SEC filings and refuses to print numbers it can't stand behind. It started as a calculator for the stock-comp method in Michael Burry's recent Cassandra Unchained articles, got posted to r/SecurityAnalysis and r/Burryology a few weeks ago, and grew from the feedback, including public corrections I'll get to.

One page per question: Burry's owners' earnings and intrinsic value after the true cost of stock compensation. Mayer's 100-bagger arithmetic. Loss-to-profit inflections. Banks, insurers and brokers on tangible book. IFRS filers. A standard two-stage DCF next to the same DCF on SBC-corrected cash flow, so you see what "add stock comp back" hides. A reverse DCF that solves what today's price implies and shows how often anything in its base table ever delivered it. Compounding arithmetic with dividends done right.

Every number is read from the filings. Every page refuses out loud when it can't stand behind a figure, and says why. About 1,600 self-checks run from any page's footer.

The part where I was wrong: a commenter showed that a compounding claim in my original post didn't follow from the math. He was right, the claim is fixed with edit notes, and the valuation engine was never affected. Chasing disagreements with Burry's published tables also found real bugs, including a treasury line double-counted as tax withholding at five companies, and Adobe filing its pre-2019 withholding under a custom XBRL tag literally named CostOfIssuanceOfTreasuryStock. Twenty-one of his twenty-three published rows now reproduce on the live app; the two that don't are documented to the dollar.

Disclosure: I'm a retail investor, not a programmer. The code was written by AI (Anthropic's Claude) in long sessions where I checked every figure against real filings until they reconciled. The methods are Burry's, Mayer's, Damodaran's, and Rappaport/Mauboussin's, all named on their pages; the project is independent and not affiliated with any of them. Not financial advice.
