I'm really having a hard time wrapping my brain around the ramifications of the Fed's decision rates decision Wednesday. Does a rate hike mean it costs more to borrow money, so industrial growth slows? How would that affect interest rates paid out, like from a HYSA or money market account? Will a rate hike positively or negatively affect the stock market?
And if these questions haven't scared you away yet, how do treasury yields fit into all this, or is it a completely separate issue?
I'm so lost with how all of this affects the market and if certain sectors will be affected more than others. My only solace is that maybe there's at least one other person out there in Redditland who has the same questions!
