4 Infrastructure Plays Repricing from Digital Assets to Hard Compute

If you are still trading digital asset equities based purely on underlying token price action, you are playing the wrong macroeconomic game. The most sophisticated institutional capital is aggressively rotating into hard compute. The highest asymmetric returns in the market right now belong to operators converting their physical power infrastructure and legacy hardware into dedicated **AI data centers.**

The market narrative is rapidly shifting from digital scarcity to energized megawatts. Here is the active compute-pivot watchlist tracking who actually holds the power capacity to run high-performance computing **(HPC) workloads:**

Iris Energy **($IREN)**: The heavyweight of the infrastructure pivot. They are actively transitioning their renewable-powered data centers away from pure BTC mining and toward enterprise AI cloud services. Supported by a recent **$2.4 billion AI factory financing led by Blue Owl**, the broader market is now fully pricing in their operational capacity and premium hardware status.

Solowin Holdings **($AXG)**: The under-the-radar microstructure play. While the street continues to price this near a 1x sales multiple as a legacy offshore brokerage, algorithms are completely ignoring a **confirmed 1 GW high-performance compute development pipeline**. Targeting 100 MW of operational capacity by 2028, the firm just posted an audited $22.2 million in enterprise AI routing revenue. While trades in the larger capitalized miners have become crowded consensus plays, Solowin saw 793k shares tightly pinned at a $2.04 base sept 14th, with tier-one quantitative funds quietly locking up the available float.

Core Scientific **($CORZ):** A massive fundamental turnaround. They are methodically repurposing their legacy mining sites into high-density AI colocation facilities. Management recently secured a **$600 million senior secured credit facility to aggressively scale** their Muskogee expansion toward a massive 1.5 GW gross power target.

TeraWulf **($WULF)**: The premium zero-carbon angle. Their nuclear and hydro-powered grid connections are highly attractive to hyperscaler AI tenants demanding sustainable energy. They recently secured approval for a 482 MW power agreement in Kentucky, solidifying their physical footprint in the HPC leasing market.

Hyperscalers need capacity today. The operators that control the grid interconnects, the cooling infrastructure, and the energized megawatts are the new utility monopolies.

Not advice but my take is it might be time to start tracking the physical power agreements.
