BMEA is sitting at just $1.37, and Citi thinks there could be a BIG opportunity here.
The catalyst? BMF-650.
This is Biomea’s oral GLP-1 candidate, and the company is expected to drop 28-day weight-loss data from its Phase 1 study in Q3. If those numbers deliver, this tiny biotech could have a lot more eyes on it.
And Citi analyst Yigal Nochomovitz likes what he’s seeing so far.
BMF-650 is being developed as a potentially safer and equally effective alternative to existing oral GLP-1 drugs. The early animal data certainly gives investors something to think about: up to \~15% weight loss after just 28 days, along with 2-3x greater oral availability than Eli Lilly’s orforglipron.
But can that translate into humans? That’s what the upcoming data should begin to tell us.
Nochomovitz rates BMEA a Buy and puts a $7 price target on the stock. With shares at $1.37, we’re talking about potential upside of 410%.
