I wouldn't go so fast saying it is bullish for META.
The new regulation will be the thing that have long lasting effect.
While things is not finalised, here are some new rules, all restricting screen time of teen
**Daily time limit** — a default two-hour daily limit across Facebook and Instagram for teens
Overnight blocks — access blocked from midnight to 6 a.m.
School-hours notification pause — push notifications disabled during school hours (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) for teen users.
Age verification — age-checking measures, with the major age-assurance requirements due within one year.
Short term, the effect is simple: less screen time means less ad revenue. Long term is where it gets more interesting. It's not just that teens spend less time in Meta's apps now, it's that Meta loses the chance to build the habit that normally carries users into adulthood. If teens don't form that attachment during their most habit-forming years, that effect may persist long after they age out of the restrictions.
Also, there are no mention about algorithm, will there be more restriction about ad delivery or making the feed less addictive?
