TJX was clobbered after the recent quarterly results but to me their moat in this environment is untouched. I go to their stores in Canada all the time and they are full. Their business model is exactly what works in a recessionary environment with an indebted consumer whose spending power has eroded. Anyone else looking at the stock? I am not a believer of retail but I do believe in investing in what I know and I know TJX.. just like I know Dollarama... And bought it in 2020. Wish I had bought Costco too then. I think this stock price drop in TJX might be a worthwhile entry point. This post is mostly rationalizing to myself 🤷
