For me I cannot trust anyone that charges money for their substack or content. I’m not knocking the ones that do. But I know for a fact when you make a post like “who has the best stock picking substack”
Everyone that has a paid model will jump in and say “pick me”
But what about the guys who don’t charge anything…
Do you think they are lurking telling people to come subscribe to their substack? Maybe but very unlikely.
It’s a market where gains come with long term holding. Alpha is drawn from those with the knowledge. And I trust people who have the knowledge enough to see what they like and do my own DD.
But I don’t trust people that charge money.
I have to people I trust that don’t run ads on you tube or hide their content behind a hefty paywall

These guys I trust and have made a lot of money just learning new stocks that they pick and putting my own thesis into it.
If you know any others please share doesn’t have to be from AI or any specific field as long as they don’t hide their content behind a paywall.
EDIT: ✍️ there is nothing wrong with charging for content that’s not the point I’m making.there is also nothing wrong with people not charging. I’m saying the very few that don’t charge don’t have any reason at all to lie to you about whether they are making money managing a book or making money by selling people subscriptions.
