$CQX: The Update Behind the Update

Been tracking Copper Quest ($CQX) and figured it warranted a proper breakdown, given how much ground this release actually covers.

**The survey that's wrapped:** Stars just completed a 20 km² 3D IP survey across the main property, including the Tana Zone and its along-strike extensions. The work is designed to image sulphide mineralization at depth and help define the system’s strike length, width and depth while identifying possible new drill targets.

Interpretation is still pending, but the completed survey gives the company a stronger technical foundation for refining targets and planning the next phase of exploration.

**The permitting cadence:**

* *Kitimat* — advancing permits for geophysics and drilling across the Jeannette zone plus the AI-generated target
* *Alpine* — extending its exploration/drilling permit, permitting two possible road-access routes, and engaging with consultants and manufacturers around sorting and processing equipment, alongside potential milling partnerships or ownership opportunities
* *Thane* — preparing to begin permitting while management looks for an exploration partner
* *Auxer & Nekash* — being transferred into a newly formed U.S. subsidiary, with partners also being sought for both

That’s a lot happening across very different stages of the portfolio.

**The one I’m watching closely:** Rip.

CQX completed 1,654 metres across five holes, and the samples are now at ALS in Terrace for storage ahead of preparation and assaying.

But those assays are staying on hold while Copper Quest and ArcWest negotiate amendments to the existing option agreement, which gives CQX the right to earn up to 80% of Rip. Those talks started on June 2. So the geology work is done for now. The next move depends on the agreement being resolved.

Are you waiting on Rip too, or is another project on your list?
