Is This the End of the Berkshire Hathaway We Knew?

Today, by chance, I watched the latest interview with the new CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Greg Abel, who laid out his investment thesis on Google, which shocked me. He called this investment decision a bet on Google being a winner in AI rather than because of its competitive advantage and other value-investing principles. I think Warren Buffett made a terrible decision in choosing him as his successor. This will likely mark the end of what was once the greatest investment firm in human history. He ignored the fact that AI capex is overloaded, and he made the investment based on a speculative move.
