$VIPZ News Follow-Up: Company Officially Announces Investor Roadshow
Quick follow-up to my post yesterday about VIP Play’s new investor deck.
Yesterday I wrote about the September 4 8-K and why I thought the most interesting part wasn’t simply the new presentation, it was that management specifically said they intended to use it in a non-deal roadshow with current and potential investors.
Well, this morning VIPZ followed it up with an official PR:
“VIP Play, Inc. Furnishes Investor Presentation for Use in Initial Non-Deal Roadshow”
So I think the sequence here is becoming pretty clear.
January: Management lays out a major transformation away from being primarily a traditional sports wagering company.
Next \~8 months: Very little promotion or company news while they appear to have been building out the new products and strategy.
September 4: New investor presentation filed through an 8-K showing what that work has produced and where the company is headed.
September 9: Company formally announces that management is taking that presentation on an initial non-deal roadshow to current and potential
investors.
CEO Les Ottolenghi also summed up the strategy pretty well in today’s release: the company believes the lessons it learned from sports wagering around identity, competition and community can be applied much more broadly using AI.
That is the transformation I found most interesting in the deck.
VIPZ is now describing itself as an AI-powered sports engagement company serving teams, leagues, events, brands and sponsors, with AI characters, prediction/competition experiences, personalized fan zones and behavioral intelligence tools.
To me, this is another important distinction from the typical OTC story.
They didn’t spend the last eight months constantly issuing promotional PRs while promising things were coming. They were remarkably quiet. Now they have put out a detailed presentation and are actually taking the story directly to investors.
Obviously, a roadshow doesn’t guarantee investment, revenue or a higher stock price. Execution still matters, and VIPZ remains an extremely illiquid and speculative OTC stock.
But this is exactly the next step I wanted to see after reviewing the deck.
The question now becomes much more interesting:
What happens when a company that has traded with almost no liquidity or investor attention starts actively introducing itself to new investors?
We’ll see.
Disclosure: I own VIPZ shares. This is a highly speculative investment and nothing here is financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell.
