Timing the OpenAI collapse that bursts the bubble

A shocking number of senior leaders at OpenAI have left the company recently. These positions were people poised to make a fortune in an IPO that we were told would occur sometime in 2027.

They walked away from supposed generational wealth and I'm not buying that this was just part of a post-IPO leadership change. All of these folks were accomplished and seasoned leaders with experience in publicly traded companies.

I think this tells us that OpenAI will never IPO and won't make it through the end of 2027, and when OpenAI goes under and Sam Altman leaves "to spend more time with his family" the bubble will burst.

So, we have a deadline for the bursting of the bubble. The question is how far into the next year they can limp along. Given what the bursting means, I'm guessing it will be late 2027 since their partners will try to keep the patient alive as long as possible to save themselves.
