Maybe we need to be more like r/Bogleheads. Mods should decide what value investing and ban anything with a remote whiff of deviant thinking...

>Hi [/u/Nyet2L8](https://www.reddit.com/u/Nyet2L8), Content promoting investment strategies that are antithetical to Boglehead investing is not appropriate.
>Selecting your equity investments based on the listing stock exchange, as QQQ/QQQM do isn’t just stock-picking, it’s a particularly nonsensical version of it.

>While basing on an arbitrary listing does seem non-sensical, the kind of firms that make up the nasdaq 100 are not easily matched by other indexes though a few do come close. The idea that being bogleheaded means treating all sectors equally seems primitive. ATT or Coca Cola are very different kind of investments than NVDA or AAPL. ATT is basically buying a bond that happens to be a company and will act as such. You can be bogleheaded but still want your money only in those sectors with long term growth potential. Yes those sectors will have higher risk by definition btu long term returns will outperform. QQQ has outperformed S&P since 1980 consistently and by a huge margin. Have drawdowns been bigger? yes but that's the same as saying drawdowns are bigger for an all stock port than a 60/40. I was responding to someone claiming that any index that was weighted towards any sector is automatically uncompensated risk which is a silly statement and empirically incorrect.

>You’re doubling down on reasoning that’s antithetical to passive investing and/or non-substantive. That’s likely to lead to more serious adverse moderation action going forward.
>You are not allowed to promote active investing, you are not allowed to promote nonsense “indices” like the Nasdaq-100, and promoting investments on the basis of past returns is a violation of the substantiveness rule.
>You’re also making vapid and false statements like comparing the uncompensated concentration risk you take to variation in compensated risk and misstating your interlocutor’s (correct) analysis.
>Please don’t comment in this subreddit for at least a month and understand that further violations of the rules (or protests that the rules themselves are wrong) will likely lead to a permanent ban.
