I've been looking into Descartes for the past few weeks and from a value standpoint I am intrigued. They run a software program which connects shippers, carriers, freight brokers, and other customs authorities.
The main reason I love the company is the moat I think they possess.
Debt free balance sheet, very low stock volatility, to me it doesn't seem like just another boom/bust cycle pick.
Management has been steadily acquiring to expand into new geographies rather than doing one all or nothing move. They are quietly sweeping up more marketshare daily.
And with the stock being down over 30% from 52-week highs, I think there is some serious value to be seen here.
