Does anyone find that friends and family simply can’t comprehend using the stock market for income?
They believe that income can only come from a traditional 9-5 and simply jump immediately to labelling you unemployed in a belittling manner.
It’s frustrating and infuriating, as equally one could accuse them of just being a trapped wage drone - which I don’t out of respect - yet others seem so quick to judge.
Even if you’re making it work, you’re profitable and they can see it, they just dismiss it. The fabulous “luck” accusation seems to always be spat through gritted teeth.
Perhaps jealousy has a large part to play? Those underwater in debt don’t have the option to do what I have done - 36 YO, no kids, no marriage or divorces or significant liabilities… just chose to check out of the corporate world one day to pursue my dream.
