Around 25 years ago, I remember reading a book by Robert Mikes titled “The World’s Greatest Investment; 101 Reasons to Own Berkshire Hathaway.” At the time its market cap was less than 100 B, currently 1.25 T. This was accomplished with a slight borrowing and reduced share count. The strategy of growing the insurance float and allocating wisely is pure genius. BRK represents the easiest and safest 8% to 12% CAGR available. Nothing has changed in the intervening year: still the world’s greatest investment.
