I picked up some shares of Amrize yesterday afternoon after my order sat unfilled for a few days, finally getting a fill at $46.65. I like the building materials space but hate the cyclicality, so AMRZ stands out because their earnings barely swing from year to year which is pretty rare for this sector. The big catch is we don't have a reliable twelve-month earnings figure right now, so I'm definitely not claiming the bottom line is actually growing, but a forward PE of 14.7x feels like a decent margin of safety for a business this steady. I plan to scale in if it drops further, but my estimate of actual value is around $63 based on historical owner earnings, and I'll probably exit the whole position around $62 if we get there.
Watch them announce a massive factory fire tomorrow now that my money is in it.
