SK Hynix to Invest 54 Trillion Won in Semiconductor Facilities. New Plants in Yongin, Cheongju to Produce Next-Gen DRAM, NAND by 2029

SK Hynix will invest a total of 54 trillion Korean won to build new semiconductor production facilities in Yongin and Cheongju.

SK Hynix announced on August 7 that its board of directors decided to invest 35.2 trillion Korean won in Y2, the second fab (semiconductor production plant) at the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster, and 19.1 trillion Korean won in M17 in Cheongju. This investment is a follow-up measure to specify part of the mid-to-long-term investment plan announced in June, including the Honam Semiconductor Cluster.
