I made a post two months ago about how big name national insurance carriers and brokers could be hidden value no one seems to be talking about. A few names are up since then like Chubb and Allstate but what caught my eye is that Travelers is up over 30% since then and that's even with it coming down a little where it nearly hit $400. PE is still only 10.
I didn't buy in and wishing I did, I'm not mad because I did pretty well on Microsoft this week but did not expect any of the insurance stocks to have such a short term runup, I was thinking about them as more reliable and consistent long term compounders where I set it and forget it. I'm just wondering if anyone bought in recently or has been holding long term as it seems like the type of thing this sub would be interested in.
