Novo Nordisk has disappointed investors for a while, and the market has lost confidence. Look at today’s drop. That doesn’t make me bearish - it makes me interested.
The obesity market is far from saturated, and while competition has intensified, Novo remains one of the global leaders with exceptional scientific expertise, a strong balance sheet, and a long track record of execution. There will inevitably be setbacks, but I believe management is making the right long-term bet by expanding beyond diabetes and obesity into broader cardiometabolic diseases.
At the current valuation, I think much of the bad news is already priced in. If Novo successfully executes its pipeline and regains growth momentum, today’s price looks like an attractive entry point. I took the chance.
