On July 23-24, an advisory committee called PCAC will vote whether to recommend that any of seven peptides be approved by the FDA for pharmaceutical compounding (see [here](https://www.fda.gov/advisory-committees/advisory-committee-calendar/july-23-24-2026-meeting-pharmacy-compounding-advisory-committee-07232026) for meeting notes). Many of those peptides, particularly BPC-157, are already used widely and available on the grey market. Were the FDA to give them the green light, companies could capitalize on those newly legal markets.
Mountain Valley MD ($MVMDF, trades OTC) would be one of those companies. They have a patented system for sublingual (under the tongue) delivery of medicines called Quicksome and in fact, have been developing that technology for use with peptides (see [this press release](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/640cc5c59747f404c5be6c52/6a190590664ebf97770e4a3c_PR%202026-05-29%20-%20MVMD%20ADVANCES%20QUICKSOM.pdf)). Whereas most peptides must be kept in cold storage and injected, Quicksome is stable at room temperatures and need only be ingested through mouth. Therefore, it may be an attractive delivery option.
As I see it, three things need to happen for $MVMDF to succeed:
1. PCAC must approve relevant peptides, notably BPC-157.
2. The FDA must accept those recommendations. This is a huge “if” due to a lack of rigorous drug trials. In fact, they’ve already recommended against it. But, RFK Jr. has a way of making things happen so I don’t think this is impossible.
3. Their Quicksome technology would have to be shown to be a good delivery method for these peptides and they’d need to sell it effectively.
Were those three points to happen — and it is not at all obvious that they will — Mountain Valley’s business would transform.
The stock is currently trading at around 5 cents. I have about 50,000 shares. The stock reached over $2 when people thought the Quicksome technology could be applied to COVID, so there's significant upside, but I'd encourage everyone to do their own research and caution that FDA approval seems unlikely even with a majority vote.
Edit: I'm not pumping this, just noting it. If anyone has counter-points or further insights into the company, happy to hear them.
