Can I simply find a terrible strategy and just take the opposite side over and over?

So I’m back testing a lot of strategies using backtesting software, and one thing I’m noticing is a lot of these lose a ton of money over the course of a few years. So I had this thought, instead of trying to find consistently profitable strategies, how about pick one of the many terrible strategies and ::::wait for it:::: do the opposite!
