26 year old beginner who just deposited about $3.5K USD into my investment platform and I'm wondering if it's okay to buy into an ETF like VOO. I'm seeing a lot of Reddit threads, news articles, YouTube videos about how there's a lot of uncertainty regarding AI returns, the Iran war, and the upcoming midterms in the US which can all potentially lead to the market taking a dip.
I don't know if it's just fearmongering, once again I have very little knowledge regarding all this, but I'd like to know if you all would still recommend investing into a safe, big name ETF like VOO. Also if I should continue to invest every paycheck, as I was initially planning on doing prior to hearing some of the things I have over the past few days.
