seasonally august and september is not great. add a midterm year and you get volatility until december.
everyone is still figuring out how to make money with AI (real money, not circular financing, and money to make the capex spending not have revenue be a fraction of the cost).
so far this year, i've been really disciplined. on the days this year when the talking heads and r/wsb are posting massive losses, i've been buying. i haven't done any selling. just a little bit of consistent buying every month with a preference on bright red days.
if i did some selling or repositioning, it would be selling $QQQ (maybe sell 25% of what i'm holding) and using that cash to add to dividend growth (defensive) like $SCHD.
looking at the charts of both QQQ and SCHD, it may be very likely that the big money has been doing this all year long already.
well i'm retail and retail is always late to the party. what are you other retailers doing or planning to do?
