NRED is up 17% today and I think the market is finally starting to pay attention
Heres what you could have missed. NRED is not a copper company with a spreadsheet. Its a technology company that happens to own a copper project. Look at the sequence. MetalCore launched with 4 million records. Provisional patent in April. Non provisional US patent in May. EyeX standstill for computer vision in July. CTO hire with a decade in AI. Name change to NRED Intelligent Mining. And now Caplin the Hollywood producer and immersive tech lab builder joins the advisory board.
That is a technology company assembly line. Not a junior explorer adding claims. Wilmac is the validation environment. The 16 thousand hectares in BC is the proof of concept. But the scalable product is the software stack. MetalCore for geological intelligence. EyeX for operational intelligence. Patents to protect it. Media expertise to sell it.
The digital mining market is about $72 billion. NRED is worth around $25 million. Thats 0.04% of the market. If NRED captures even a tiny fraction of that through software licensing or platform subscriptions the current valuation is a joke. A copper project can only exist in one place. Mining software can travel.
BHP is worth like $150 billion because it owns massive reserves. NRED is worth $25 million because the market sees only one small project. But when the market starts seeing the technology platform the comparable set shifts from juniors to software companies. And software companies trade on completely different multiples.
The 17% move today might just be the start. The asymmetry between what NRED is building and what the market is pricing has never been this obvious. The copper project got me interested. The technology stack is whats keeping me watching. And now it looks like the market might finally be catching up.
