BRSL sales analysis, value incoming, watch for Q3

For reference and some credibility? I'm now 2/3 for my value plays. Up 50% and 30% on my two other recommendations which you can see on my previous posts in the last few weeks, or search their tickers GRL and CLBS.

I'm honestly surprised at how this hasn't been picked up on yet and is splitting analysts opinion. Brightstar lottery is a company that earns a cut from lottery ticket sales, where they provide the technology for 8/10 biggest lotteries worldwide, and in the past they have had massive swings in quarterly revenue when jackpots spike into crazy high lottery fever territory amounts (anything $1bn+ in America)

Now, Q1 was almost as bad as you can get for a lottery retailer. The jackpots were won unbelievably early and it prevented any meaningful jackpots from building. Hence the disappointing Q1 results. Since then the Mega Millions jackpot went unwon for the whole of Q2 and the Powerball is also on a great streak into Q3 - this is technically the best jackpot environment for the company, starting a new quarter, ever when you factor in the Italian super enalotto about to cross into top 3 highest jackpots in its history.

How does Q2 2026 compare to Q2 2025.

Yes I'm that boring, I've gone and calculated all of the sales from 2025 to compare to the upcoming results to be released August the 4th and this is how my calculations look.

Direct ticket sales revenue for powerball and mega Millions (not including any add-on purchases for the multipliers to make a comparison)

Mega Millions Q2 2025 sales $705,580,782

Mega Millions Q2 2026 sales $761,582,250 +%8

Powerball Q2 2025 sales $690,841,630

Powerball Q2 2026 sales $789,452,870 +%14

Now a comparison from Q1 to Q2. America looks to be flat/small % increase, but Europe has had a much stronger Q2 with a strong run in the euro millions and a rare maximum cap double rollover streak of the euro jackpot and also the major build of the Italian (key market) super enalotto jackpot. I expect Europe to show decent growth.

Q2 won't be a game changer for this company, in my opinion. The real story building is Q3. If the jackpots all continue to roll (for which they are overdue, with no major jackpot for the Mega Millions since 2024 and the last large Powerball jackpot in December of last year) then with the new contracts coming online and the recent spate of renewal contracts announced, the second half of the year could well be a great play for Brightstar.

The real risk to this company was the €1bn+ lotto license renewal to secure their key area of Italy for the next 8 years. They have now paid this and we shall see in Q2 results how this effects on the balance sheet, as this is what has caused the drop in share price combined with the poor Q1 jackpot environment.

Add it to your watch list and follow the rollovers, and most importantly do your own research.

Also the UK is entering the prize mix for the American Powerball for the first time, as they pave the way to opening up the game.
