Anyone watching Critical One Energy $CRTL $MMTLF after their latest results?
Been digging into Critical One Energy after their latest result, and this one is getting interesting.
4.0 m of 70.2% antimony inside 8.0 m of 42.2% antimony seems wild.
For anyone new to antimony, that grade is the important part. Antimony usually occurs as stibnite, and pure stibnite is about 71.7% antimony by weight. So 70.2% Sb is basically near-pure stibnite occurring naturally in the drill core.
Compared with a lot of other public antimony projects, where grades are often low single digits or even below 1%, this result stands out.
Their project is Howells Lake Antimony-Gold Project in Northern Ontario which is district-scale (25,000 hectares, 697 claims, and 30 km strike with both antimony and gold targets). So there's future gold drilling to be done on top of everything.
We all know the emphasis on defence at the moment. With antimony end uses being munitions, night vision, flame retardants, semiconductors, batteries, and solar infrastructure. The U.S. care a lot more about securing North American supply as China has also cut antimony exports.
Critical One is one of the few public North American antimony pubcos ive come across with modern true high-grade material.
here's what stood out to me:
As I mentioned, Hole 6 hit near-pure stibnite.
All eight early holes near the historic East Zone reportedly intersected visible stibnite.
The project already had a historical antimony-gold foundation grading up to 75% Sb.
They have a $9M 2026 drill budget, with more drilling planned through the summer.
And they have retired 4 star General Flynn as their list of advisors.
Do your own DD, but as far as speculative critical minerals explorers go im putting this on watch. Interested in others opinions and if I've missed anything.
