$XAUUSD Game Plan: Fundamentals and DXY are pointing long. Are you trading the breakout?
Hey guys, mapping out Gold across multiple timeframes today. Here is my current thought process, including fundamentals, DXY confluence, and my execution plan.
**Fundamental Catalysts** Geopolitically, tensions are escalating. With the U.S. administration putting heavy pressure on Iran, the likelihood of continued conflict is high. This has already driven oil prices up and is providing strong underlying safe-haven support to keep Gold in a bullish trend.
**DXY Confluence** Looking at the Dollar Index (DXY), price is currently approaching its 200 EMA. If this level acts as a dynamic resistance and rejects the dollar, it will provide perfect confluence for our long bias on XAUUSD.
**Macro View (4H & 1H)** The long-term trend on Gold remains clearly bullish. The upper trendline is acting as a magnet for price, so my overall expectation is a push to test that top boundary before any major reversal. On the 1H chart, the orange trendline has officially flipped into a solid support level. RSI is resting right at 50, giving us plenty of room for upward momentum without being overextended.
**Micro View (5m)** Dropping down to the 5-minute chart, you can see that the previous local resistance around the 4725 level has flipped to support, creating a clear POI.
**The Game Plan (T1)** For my actual execution, I'm taking a conservative approach today. I will wait for a clean break and close above the 4736 - 4740 resistance zone before entering any long positions. Once we clear that area, I'll look for my setup.
Anyone else watching this breakout, or are you already positioned?
