Is the nasdaq considered in near the same regards of safety for long time investments?

I know the snp is help in the regards of being the golden safety investment but whats the concensus with the nasdaq? If i were too put 100k into it for a prioid of atleast 20 years would it be as safe (and more profitable) to invest in the nasdaq?
