What tools do you use to track why you bought a stock?

I know this might sound like a ridiculous question, but in today's market I genuinely find it hard to track my thoughts on a penny stock. It might be X today, but next week it will be Y, and I want a more elegant way of tracking that.

Any market solutions out there?
