Silly question: do you think certain other stocks are lower than they were a month or so ago only because that SpaceX stock money had to come from somewhere
Like the world didn't just get that much richer overnight, and I'm not sure how these huge investment firms are selling in order to buy into that ridiculous 2+ trillion IPO
I'm no economist and obviously I'm looking at this on a basic level. But it's just like when I ask the question of, "Where did all that money come from to buy that IPO? It seems like it has to come from the rest of the market. Looking at numbers and posts on here, the "brr" nature of spacex by definition has to be at the expense of something else, and it seems to be companies like Facebook or Microsoft who are coming down off their highs.
If anyone with a bit of finance or economic nerddom could help me figure this out, I would appreciate it.
