The bid by Stripe has left me thinking about what will happen for bagholders who are not willing to sell. Will we just be forced to sell/liquidate by our brokers?
If so, honestly what’s the point of owning stocks? You buy a piece of a company, you take the risk, you hold through the crashes, you wait years for the turnaround… and then one day someone decides the party is over it doesn’t matter if you bought at $60, $100 or $200 (I bought @ more than $200 per stock). Doesn’t matter if you wanted to keep holding for another 10 years. Someone else gets to decide when your investment ends and at what price, leaving you with a realised loss.
Can’t even baghold in peace. Fuck them.
